Javits Center has been named the home of Rétromobile’s first-ever United States appearance — a landmark moment for one of Europe’s most iconic classic car shows. After nearly 50 years in Paris, Rétromobile is putting a New York spin on the 2026 show — and when you think of New York, you think of the Javits Center: "New York 'has more of a bridge with Europe, logistics are better there, and it is a destination for the rest of the world,' [event organizer Vincent Neveu said.] 'Manhattan is the right place to bring Rétromobile.' Mr. Neveu also praised the Javits Center as a venue. It is 'as good as what we have in Paris, and there is room for the show to grow,' he said. 'Most importantly though, we don’t want to just duplicate Paris — we want to respect the culture of the city of New York, while bringing some of the DNA of Rétromobile Paris.'" Javits Center is proud to serve as the site of this historic expansion — connecting continents, cultures, and classic car enthusiasts from around the world. 🔗Read the full article in The New York Times: https://lnkd.in/gTXvVtfN

Here at Javits Center, our mission is to serve New York, and we do it in more ways than one. Our heroic culinary team at Cultivated prepared more than 10,000 nutritious grab-and-go lunches for AWS attendees — featuring fresh ingredients like kale grown right on our rooftop farm, Steel Farm. Javits Center feeds thousands while supporting sustainability — one meal at a time.

This week, Javits Center donated 240 pounds of excess produce from our rooftop Steel Farm to Rethink Food as part of our mission to serve our community. With the help of our farmers from Brooklyn Grange, Steel Farm generates an abundant harvest which gives us the opportunity to provide local New Yorkers facing food insecurity with healthy options grown right here in Manhattan. This donation included mostly arugula, baby kale, herbs, and scallions. 🥬
