We believe innovation starts with purpose. That’s true for Michele Allen, MBA, who’s inspired to drive forward technology solutions that make patients’ experiences better. Hear how her work in digital systems for cell therapy is helping deliver personalized treatments safely, accurately and at scale, in part 2 of our CIO Jim Swanson's #HumansAdvancingTech series.
How is technology reshaping the future of medicine one patient at a time? In Part 2 of our #HumansAdvancingTech series, showcasing the people behind the technology at Johnson & Johnson, I continue my conversation with Michele Allen, MBA Allen. For those who missed Part 1, Michele is a product leader who builds technologies to digitally track patient cells as we create personalized therapies. Michele shared the inspiration behind her work – a powerful story about her grandmother. Long before it was mainstream, her grandmother took a personal and proactive approach to managing her health. It’s a reminder that while technology is advancing rapidly, the heart of care has always been human. We also discuss: ✔️ How digital innovation is improving accuracy and scalability in cell therapy ✔️ What “Tech for Good” means at Johnson & Johnson ✔️ Our approach to responsible AI in healthcare If you're curious about where digital health is headed and how it’s reconnecting us to the human side of medicine, check out this conversation. #CellTherapy #Innovation #HealthcareTechnology

Introducing #HumansAdvancingTech – a new video series that showcases the people behind the technology at Johnson & Johnson. To transform healthcare, we need groundbreaking science and innovative technology. But what brings it all together are passionate people who do meaningful work each day. In my first conversation, I had the pleasure of speaking with Michele Allen, MBA, who plays a critical role in the cell therapy space at J&J. As the product leader for our chain of identity, chain of custody, and labeling systems, Michele shared how digital innovation helps ensure we can accurately track every patient’s cells from collection all the way through to infusion. She also gave us a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to deliver personalized therapies and how a deep commitment to patients and precision is built into every step. We’re passionate about closing the gap between communities and care—starting in our hometown of New Brunswick, New Jersey. Here, the Community Health Ambassador program recruits and trains community members to bridge gaps in care. Discover more about the impact from Vanessa Broadhurst, EVP, Global Corporate Affairs, and Mariam Merced, Director of Community Health Promotions at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital: https://lnkd.in/gusQNJGH
At J&J, we strive to help close the gap between communities and care. Since 2009, Johnson & Johnson and the Johnson & Johnson Foundation have supported the work of promotoras in New Brunswick to ensure patients get the care they deserve through this Community Health Ambassador program. I’m thrilled to share episode three of The Red Couch on the Road, where I had an enriching conversation with Mariam Merced, Director of Community Health Promotions at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In this new episode, Mariam sheds light on how Community Health Ambassadors, also known as promotoras, are creating a healthier future for the New Brunswick community. Last year alone, they made 15,000 touchpoints with community members. This is another great example of the work we are doing to strengthen health systems by supporting health workers so we can address gaps in care together. A big thank you to Mariam and all the promotoras for their dedication to delivering quality care. It's truly inspiring for us all.
