KDG is honored to announce that we’ve been awarded the CMAA of Southern California Project Achievement Award in the Transportation – Over $50M category for the North Airfield Exit Taxiways (NAET) Project at LAX! 🏆 This marks our third CMAA win—and our very first in this category! The $170 million airfield improvement project for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) included the construction of four high-speed exit taxiways, runway upgrades, enhanced drainage and electrical systems, and new signage—all designed to improve safety and operational efficiency at one of the world’s busiest airports. CMAA’s Project Achievement Awards program honors standout projects that exemplify excellence, innovation, and the highest standards in construction management. On Friday, June 6, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) celebrated the official opening of the LAX/Metro Transit Center Station, marking a major milestone in regional mobility and infrastructure. With a striking open-air canopy, 16 bus bays, ADA accessibility, and seamless rail-to-airport connections, the station is built to handle the region’s growing transit needs, just in time for global events like FIFA World Cup 26™, Super Bowl LXXI, and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. KDG, in partnership with DE, is proud to have provided Construction Support Services Consultant (CSSC) on this transformative project and to be the first woman-led consultant group selected to prime a large Metro public works contract. KDG was proud to lead the volunteer committee and participate in the 58th Annual All-Airport Golf Tournament — an annual event that brings the LAX community together through fellowship, philanthropy, and a great day on the fairway. This year’s tournament raised over $80,000 to support a number of incredible organizations. Proceeds benefited the Bob Hope USO at LAX, the LAX Kiwanis Club Scholarship Program, and the Flight Path Museum.
