I’m truly grateful for my time as the Digital Marketing Intern at Life Fitness / Hammer Strength. Going into the 11-week program, I expected to gain a solid understanding of what digital marketing entails, and if it is something that I’d like to pursue in the future. Now, I can say with confidence that I’d love to have a career in the Digital Marketing field. I got the opportunity to work on a variety of projects during my internship. I made video content for social media, published blogs and press releases, and dove into the underutilized YouTube channels. I strengthened my skills in Canva, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro while also gaining new ones like the content manager system Kentico. There, I spent most of my time creating web pages and cleaning up translated pages to make fitness products more accessible to people around the world. All of this is fantastic, but what really had the greatest impact on me was the people. The Digital Marketing team welcomed me in with open arms, and allowed me to grow personally and professionally right away. Anna Mariani answered all my questions and taught me how to use the tools necessary to complete my projects. She generously sacrificed her time to help me out, and I’m extremely thankful for her. The rest of the team helped when they could, offering me great insight and some good laughs as well. Overall, I’m so thankful for the opportunity to intern at a company that not only specializes in what I love, but also provides students like me the skills and hands-on experience that are needed to grow in our careers.
