Powering the future of health with clean energy! 🌱 On August 22, we flipped the switch on our new solar-powered renewable microgrid system at LLUH Faculty Medical Clinics, a project years in the making. 3,622 solar panels installed on top of parking areas generate power and even provide shaded parking. A 1-megawatt Tesla battery also stores excess power and can provide six hours of emergency back-up power. 💬 Ricardo Peverini, president of the LLU Faculty Medical Group, says, “It reduces our environmental footprint, makes our operations more resilient, and saves resources that we can reinvest into patient care. It’s a healthier future for our patients, our staff, and our region.” 👉 Read more: https://bit.ly/3UU0KZs

This week, we were honored to welcome San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran and Former Mayor Pat Morris to Loma Linda University Health. Their visit included a campus tour featuring the Simulation Center, where students develop clinical expertise through immersive, hands-on learning, and the Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus. We also shared highlights of LLUH’s global footprint, which spans local community health initiatives and international partnerships that advance healing and learning worldwide. Mayor Tran’s background as the daughter of Vietnamese immigrants reflects the resilience and hope present in our community— a theme that connects deeply to our history. In 1975, Loma Linda University Medical Center welcomed 410 Vietnamese refugees, a legacy of compassion that continues to guide our mission. Thank you to both leaders for their service in the neighboring city of San Bernardino and for the opportunity to work together in advancing healthcare across our region.

✨ In the heart of our hospital, music becomes a source of peace and hope. ICU nurse Mary Ann Arnobit Madriaga shares her gift of piano, bringing comfort to patients, families, and staff. For her, it’s both a way to uplift others and to praise God for the blessings she’s been given 🎶🙏 Her music reminds us that even in the busiest places, God’s presence can be felt through simple acts of love and service. May we all find ways to use our gifts to shine His light to those around us. 🌟 #SpiritualFriday #Sabbath #Faith #Healthcare #Hope #LLUH #Music

Dr. Parke Hudson recently performed a hip replacement surgery using the innovative Hana Table, helping Louise reclaim her active lifestyle. With x-rays revealing a “bone-to-bone” hip condition, Dr. Hudson recognized Louise’s physical limitations and desire to practice pilates and ride her Harley-Davidson motorcycle once again. He carefully navigated her pre-operation clearance and chose the Hana Table, a specialized surgical table that allows optimal access to the hip joint without cutting through major muscles or tendons. 🌟 The results? Louise was up and walking within hours of surgery. 👉 Read more about how our care team helped Louise get back to doing what she loves: https://bit.ly/4lS3IIZ
