🌟KEYS TO SUCCESS 🌟 Mr. Dodson, a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1974 to 1976, has always valued a life of simplicity—rooted in peace, independence, and routine. Unexpected circumstances disrupted his life and left him homeless, but he was introduced to LVS through the VA Medical Center—a turning point that would set him on a new path. In July 2025 Mr. Dodson completed the LVS program and was offered a place to live. For him, one of the greatest joys of this new chapter is something simple: riding his bike each day to his favorite spot, Food Lion. This daily ritual represents more than just a trip to the store—it symbolizes freedom, normalcy, and the life he has worked so hard to reclaim. In this Veteran’s own words: “LVS got me out of the woods.” His story is one of quiet strength, humility, and the life-changing power of compassion, community, and support. 📣Recently we hosted an Open House to showcase the ongoing construction of Veterans Village – a housing community that will replace our current facility at 1201 Hull Street. 📣Veterans Village continues the mission of LVS, offering homeless Veterans the care, resources, and stability needed to rebuild their lives. 💫LVS Impact: 86% Success Rate Since 2013, over 770 Veterans have received support services in the LVS program and 86% have gone on to live independently for more than 12+ months. LVS provides a safe, stable environment for Veterans experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives and achieve permanent housing.
