  • Meet Abel Berhane, a motivated Retail Branch Intern gaining valuable experience this summer through the CBIP Program at M&T Bank. Abel is majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics at Towson University. His interest in finance was sparked during a family visit to Sweden, where his uncle introduced him to the world of investing—a moment that set him on his current academic and professional path. As a Retail Branch Intern, Abel starts his day by checking emails, opening his cash drawer, and handling negotiables. He assists customers, participates in meetings, and supports end-of-day tasks like clearing the teller line. His role gives him a front-row seat to branch operations and customer service.
