After a cross-country move from Atlanta to Connecticut, Diane and her family found peace of mind at Maplewood. Elizabeth shared how the transition—initially complex and stressful—became easier the moment Diane arrived. She writes: “The associates are very experienced, capable, and demonstrate genuine care for people… We feel a real sense of community every time we visit.” We’re proud to provide not just exceptional care, but a culture rooted in warmth, connection, and belonging.

A recent performance by the Veritas Youth Orchestra brought extraordinary energy and artistry to our community. Among the talented musicians was Mason—pictured on the left—whose grandparents are current residents at Maplewood. At Maplewood, we recognize music as a vital thread in the fabric of purposeful living. Live performances like these not only enrich the cultural life of our residents but also foster connection across generations—reinforcing our mission to nurture the mind, body, and spirit through meaningful engagement.

Very grateful to meet these two professionals last night and have a meaningful conversation about caring for seniors. Inspīr Senior Living truly values our relationship with our neighbors Angela DeWood and Joseph Girven at Carnegie East House. And thank you to my fabulous colleague Lisa Kapp for putting together such a great dinner !
We truly value our neighbors at Carnegie East House! One size doesn’t fit all, and we’re grateful for the growing reciprocal relationship that allows us to better serve our unique communities together!

Words, gestures, and even moments of silence carry profound weight in memory care. At Maplewood Senior Living, we recognize that communication is more than an exchange of information—it’s a pathway to connection, trust, and dignity. Our latest blog explores how thoughtful strategies—like simplifying language, honoring silence, using gentle tone, and incorporating visual cues—help foster comfort and reassurance for those living with memory loss. These approaches not only support residents but also strengthen bonds between families, caregivers, and care teams. At Maplewood at Princeton, a meaningful partnership took root as students from Hightstown High School implemented a pollinator garden designed to support native species and foster greater biodiversity. Nearly a year in the making, the project reflects the students’ commitment to environmental stewardship and long-term community impact. Lending his knowledge and enthusiasm was Maplewood resident Bernie, a dedicated gardener and mentor whose guidance helped bring the vision to life. With the garden now in full bloom, butterflies are expected to visit soon—further testament to the beauty of intergenerational collaboration and purposeful living.
