As part of our ongoing commitment to fight hunger, we’re proud to have donated $200,000 to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley, and Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio in support of the 2025 Harvest for Hunger campaign—one of the largest annual, community-wide food and fundraising drives in the country. This year’s campaign will provide more than 33 million meals to families across 21 counties in Northeast Ohio. These results reflect the strength of a community coming together with a shared purpose: to ensure no one goes hungry. At Meijer, we understand that to be a good company, we must be a good neighbor. Our team’s recent work with Plaster Creek Stewards helped ensure sustainable stormwater management solutions around our Grand Rapids supercenter at 28th Street and Kalamazoo, as well as the new gas station being built on the adjacent corner. Volunteers from the Meijer real estate and sustainability teams worked with Plaster Creek Stewards to remove the native plants and replant them to ensure they weren’t damaged, and they could continue to help keep the waterways clean. We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the 11th Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, where Carlota Ciganda emerged as our 2025 champion! Held at Blythefield Country Club, this event showcased incredible golf and even greater community spirit over four unforgettable days. Together, we surpassed our goal, raising $1.5 million to support the Meijer Simply Give hunger relief program, which helps hundreds of food pantries across the Midwest feed those in need.
