Yesterday, we celebrated National Night Out across our communities! 💙✨ With the Bay Area’s mild summer weather, it was simply one of *those* perfect evenings — the kind where the smiles never stop, the food hits just right, and neighbors come together to share plates, enjoy music, play games, and catch up. Our local police officers also stopped by, with their friendly K-9 companions, stealing everyone’s hearts 🐾👮🏽♂️ The night ended on a high note with fire trucks rolling in, bringing out the kid (and kid-at-heart) in all of us 🚒 A huge thank you to our Resident Services teams and community partners who made NNO a hit! 🏡✨

On June 18, we celebrated two big milestones: the Groundbreakings of 750 Golden Gate and 850 Turk — two neighboring communities that will bring a total of 167 new affordable homes to San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood 🏙️💙 750 Golden Gate will bring 75 affordable homes for SFUSD and SFCCD educators, and 850 Turk will provide 92 affordable homes for families and individuals. National Low Income Housing Coalition's annual Out of Reach report exposes the stark reality of our nation’s rental affordability crisis. In 2025, a California renter must earn $49.61/hour to afford a modest two-bedroom apartment, making us once again, the most expensive state to rent in 💔 (a ranking no one wants 😐). Queer Joy is Resistance 🏳️🌈 A few weeks ago, MidPenners joined the crowds at the San Francisco Pride Parade to celebrate (and live out) exactly that. We came together in support of LGBTQ+ communities, affirming our belief that allyship is more than words. It means showing up, being present, speaking up, and building spaces where everyone can feel safe, seen, and supported 💙
