I launched a new website! A huge thanks to Casey Nicklaus Crump and the whole Mindgrub team for developing templates to meet our needs at UMIACS. It also wouldn't have been possible without technical support from Stephen Eide.
The University of Maryland's Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (CBCB) brings together researchers from many disciplines—including computer science, molecular biology, genomics, genetics and mathematics—all of whom aspire to gain a better understanding of how life works. The center's faculty, postdocs and students perform research in a broad set of scientific areas related to the use of computational methods for new discoveries in the life sciences like: ➡️ Accurate and computationally efficient phylogenetic inference ➡️ Algorithms and data structures for analyzing genomic data ➡️ Gut health and nutrition ➡️ Machine learning for computational medicine ➡️ Parasitism and host pathogen interaction ➡️ Remote sensing to track disease outbreaks Visit the new CBCB website to learn more: https://www.cbcb.umd.edu/
