If you are around someone experiencing signs of an overdose (see the previous post), do not hesitate to act. Call 911, administer Naloxone (check your county to see where you can get this), check their breathing and perform rescue breathing, keep them laid on their side, and stay with them until help arrives. You could save a life! #OneBigFamily #DrivenByHope #IOAD2025 #EndOverdose

Some of us may not know the signs of an overdose; knowing the signs can help us respond to those struggling with substance use. Check their eyes, breathing, consciousness and for discoloration. You may be able to save a life! #OneBigFamily #DrivenByHope #IOAD2025 #EndOverdose

Those that battle with substance use disorder may be hesitant to seek out help, due to shame from stigma. We can encourage them to seek out help by recognizing that they are a person-first and should be treated with respect. Use person-first language to break the stigma! #OneBigFamily #DrivenByHope #IOAD2025 #EndOverdose

This IOAD, we come together as one big family to take action on overdose. A family driven by hope, love and action. We are one big family – not just because we share in the pain of loss, but because we share in the power to change what comes next. #OneBigFamily #DrivenByHope #IOAD2025 #EndOverdose
