Last week, members of our Pancreas Care team attended PancreasFest 2025 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Hosted by the Collaborative Alliance for Pancreatic Education and Research, this annual meeting brings together pancreas specialists and translational researchers to advance patient care through collaboration. Alvin J. Freeman, MD, medical director of the Pancreas and Liver Care Center at Nationwide Children’s and CAPER board member, contributed to several key sessions. He presented on complications in pancreatitis, as well as co-moderated discussions on controversial approaches to pancreatitis management and the role of genetic testing in patient care.
