Our officers aren't just keeping crime down, they're responding to fires too! While patrolling Coney Island, the 60th Precinct Quality of Life team spotted a house fire. The officers raced into the home, rescued the residents along with their dog, and brought everyone to safety.

With "Back to School" season just around the corner, @NYCSchools can rest assured knowing 127 of NYC's newest School Safety Agents graduated today. After months of training, these School Safety Agents are ready and eager to protect our city's schools and students.

A Dominican family’s commitment to protect and serve. In 2001, Det. Manuel Jimenez sadly passed away from cancer. This week, his daughter, Ashley, joined her brother, Capt. Antonio Jimenez, and became a NYPD officer. Ashley is wearing her dad’s shield and honoring his legacy.

Over 1000 young leaders joined our Annual SYEP Career Day at the Police Academy, hosted in partnership with NYC Department of Youth & Community Development and New York City Police Foundation They explored the opportunities that our partners offer including career paths and beyond. Thanks to the Police Foundation, the sky is the limit!

Today, at Madison Square Garden, the largest recruit class in nearly a decade graduated from the academy. This is a class that spans 41 different countries, speaks 39 different languages, and is ready to protect and serve our city. Congrats to the newest class of NY’s Finest!
