On April 17, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam honored Mr. Séamus Murphy for his exceptional service as a Sailing Instructor at Rainbow Bay Marina. For over 20 years, Mr. Murphy has taught three classes a day across four days each week, instilling a lifelong love of the ocean in thousands of students of all ages. Mr. Murphy has left an indelible mark on the local community, the Morale, Welfare, Recreation (MWR) team at JBPHH, and the many students lucky enough to grow under his guidance. His contagious passion for the seas is unmistakable, but it's his role as a mentor, coach, and friend that sets him apart. For his continued work, Mr. Murphy was honored with a ceremony organized by Sandy Ragley, Pearl Harbor Yacht Club Commodore. There, JBC White presented a length of service award alongside a plaque installation marking “Murphy’s Point” at Rainbow Bay Marina. Thank you, Séamus, for your immeasurable contribution to the JBPHH community. Bravo Zulu! MWR continues to support the military community, providing valuable services to enhance the well-being and quality of life for servicemembers, their families, and DoD civilians.
