  • ⚾ Summers at Numeric = nights at the ballpark ⚾ Last week, members of our NYC team took over Yankee Stadium, continuing our tradition of summer team baseball outings (the SF squad had their Giants moment too). No matter the setting, we believe the best work happens when teams actually enjoy being together. If you're looking for a place where building great software comes with being around great people, we want to meet you. 🔗 See open roles here: https://lnkd.in/gMdQiGHY

💡 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗣&𝗔 𝘄𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿—𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗜. At the Klarity AI Summit, our CEO Parker Gilbert spoke to this idea clearly. As he sees it, the future belongs to “Full-Stack Finance” people who will close the books, build forecasts, and influence strategic decisions — all at once. Because AI will execute tasks that used to take days — reconciliations, variance, analysis, data pulls — in minutes, we’re bound to see the scope of accountants expand to include the strategic forecasting characteristic of classic FP&A roles. In Gilbert's words: “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘭, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦, 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘶𝘱 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗙𝗢𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. They're re-architecting it. When Sruthi Lanka took the CFO seat at Public, her first hire wasn’t an accountant—it was a data engineer. When Colin Anderson scaled Palantir Technologies’s finance team, he hired for “high CPU,” not résumés. Smart, adaptable generalists who could build the future with him. These aren’t edge cases. They’re a signal of where modern finance is headed. The CFOs shaping today’s elite teams are guided by three principles: 🧠 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗖𝗣𝗨 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 Raw horsepower beats prior experience. If they can learn fast, they’ll scale with you. 📊 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 Sruthi put data infrastructure under finance from day one—and they can now close daily, not monthly. 🎯 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 At Dropbox, finance didn’t just analyze spend—they co-led the GTM projects that doubled gross margins. If you want a finance team that doesn't just report outcomes but actually drives them—these principles are your blueprint. 📖 Read the full breakdown: https://lnkd.in/g2DXxC3x

  • Dropbox's Strategic Finance team in the 2010s was legendary. This wasn't your typical corporate finance group. Sharp, ambitious professionals who never planned to work in corporate finance became the driving force behind Dropbox's most critical initiatives—from major acquisitions to product launches that shaped the company's trajectory. The proof is in what happened next: these team members went on to become CFOs and senior finance leaders at some of today's most influential companies, including Figma, OpenAI, Plaid, and Stripe. Hear former Dropbox CFO Ajay Vashee explain how this exceptional team was built and the lasting impact they created across the tech industry — only on Incoming Statements: 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/gs-uCGD5 🎧 Listen on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/g7bZbPtG

  • If your guide or e-book can't actually become a book, how comprehensive is it really? To prove our IPO Readiness Playbook and NetSuite Guide have real substance, we put PDF to paper and printed them as actual books. No guides the size of a pamphlet over here. Here's some of what you can find in each: 𝗜𝗣𝗢 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 - Former Big 4 audit partner shares what really matters in IPO prep - An IPO readiness checklist tailored to accounting & finance teams - SEC reporting breakdown that goes beyond the surface-level advice 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗦𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 - Step-by-step Saved Search tutorials that actually work - NetSuite implementation guidance from longtime ERP implementers - Troubleshooting across modules like Prepaids, Bank Recs, and more Want copies? Drop a comment or DM, and we'll send 'em your way. To read them in classic (aka digital) form, you can find them on the Numeric site in the Learning Center.
