Excited to share that I got to contribute to ChatGPT’s first ever physical book! This project means a lot to me because I’ve seen firsthand how AI can spark curiosity and make learning more accessible and creative for students, and this book brings those possibilities to life in one place. Thank you to the ChatGPT Lab and ChatGPT for Education team for making this possible. 📖 You can check out the digital version here: chatgpt.com/100chats Katie O'Connell Angie Luo Bailey Richardson Mamie Rheingold

100 ways college students are using ChatGPT! Earlier this year, we invited 70 students into the ChatGPT Lab to swap their best chats. Together, they tested, refined, and voted on the chats they found most useful. Today, we’re sharing their top 100 chats for students everywhere to use: chatgpt.com/100chats There’s also a printed book with all the chats. Students are handing out copies at 50 colleges and universities across the US and Canada. Thank you to all the students and creators who helped make this. ✨

👑 Prompt 1: I want to achieve [goal]. Give me the lowest-effort first step I can take today that takes <5 minutes but moves me closer to my goal. Include a quick pep-talk to help me get going. 👑 Prompt 2: Act as my accountability coach to help me achieve [goal]. Give me a simple task I can do right now to start making progress. Every time I say ‘done,’ reply with one 10-minute next step until [goal] is finished. 👑 Prompt 3: Ask me some questions to help me audit my day for energy leaks. Help me identify those leaks and replace each one with a 2-minute ritual that resets dopamine and focus. 📹: Jessica Camilleri-Shelton

Chief Economist of OpenAI and Distinguished Professor at Duke University

This morning, the OpenAI Economic Research team and our co-author Professor David Deming (Harvard University) released a first-of-its-kind research paper on how ChatGPT is being used across the world. This is very exciting for me personally because one of the reasons I joined OpenAI was to produce research on how AI is changing our economy and society. The paper is officially a National Bureau of Economic Research working paper (https://lnkd.in/gPDB3fuq) which means it will contribute to the conversation among leading economists as well as the broader discussion of AI in the media. I’ll be sharing takeaways from the paper on an ongoing basis. One early finding: our user base has shifted over time to better reflect the broader population. For example, just after ChatGPT launched, about 80% of users had typically masculine names. Today, that share is closer to 50%. Read more about the paper here: https://lnkd.in/gdZ_cyug Special thanks to Carl, Christopher, Kevin, Tom, and Zoë for leading this effort.

    CEO, Applications at OpenAI

Whenever I talk with people about AI, one of the first questions I get is almost always: what will this mean for my job? I believe AI will open up more opportunities than any technology in history – but it will also change how work gets done. Today we’re announcing OpenAI-Certified and the OpenAI Jobs Platform – two new initiatives that are about helping people become fluent in AI and connecting them with employers who need their skills. We can’t eliminate the disruption AI will bring, but we can make sure the benefits are shared broadly, not just by a fortunate few. This is one big step in the right direction.

GPT-5 is our most creative and best writing model to date. It’s capable of helping you write with literary depth and nuance, and is better at helping you with everyday tasks like drafting and editing reports, emails, memos, and more.
