  • Thanks to Gina Mangus, Moses Adedoyin, and the GuideWell team for hosting Paralign Health at GuideWell's Innovation Center in Lake Nona, Florida. Excited about the impact we can have together through community paramedicine.

I spent Monday at our Innovation Center in Orlando to learn more about GuideWell’s new health innovation partnership with Plug and Play, KPMG and Orlando Health - and I have to say it was worth the drive! We heard from top startups that are leveraging AI to drive cutting-edge health care solutions across the spectrum, from surgery center design to clinical credentialing to claims processing. A highlight of the trip for me personally was spending extended time with my new friends at Healthworx Studio and Paralign Health as we continue to explore ways to further leverage paramedicine and technology within the care ecosystem to best meet the unique needs of our most vulnerable patients. There’s not a day that goes by that I’m not newly impressed by GuideWell/Florida Blue’s commitment to healthcare transformation and the role that our team at GuideWell Health has the opportunity to play in it. • Paralign was on the ground in Kansas City last week, where our CEO, Aaron Molloy, met with fire and EMS chiefs to discuss community paramedicine (MIH-CP) across Missouri and Kansas—some pictured here in-person, some who Zoomed in from afar! We’re excited to be working with these programs to sustain and scale community paramedicine through health plan partnerships across the two states.

Earlier this month, we took a trip out to WashCo to learn how they’re doing it. (And to eat Missouri barbecue.) Here’s what we learned... featuring WashCo Community Paramedic Tony, WashCo Ambulance District CEO Justin Duncan, and Paralign Founder Aaron Molloy). ⬇️⬇️⬇️

This model—EMS-led, in-home preventative care—is known as community paramedicine (MIH-CP), and it creates value for stakeholders across the health care ecosystem—providers, payors, and patients. Previous pilots have resulted in: 🧘 80% reduction in 911 call volume from high-need patients 📉 50% cost reduction from rural pilot  📈 4:1 ROI for health plans 🧑💻 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝑾𝒆 𝑫𝒐 𝑰𝒕: We provide health plans with the network, resources, and platform to scale community paramedicine. We identify the highest-need patients who will benefit the most from MIH-CP. We bring health plans and fire/EMS teams to the same table to plan and deliver care. And all the pesky administrative back-end—contracting, credentialing, visit verification, claims? We handle that, too. 🏃 𝑾𝒆’𝒗𝒆 𝑩𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒚: We’re backed by the Healthworx Studio and recently launched a pilot with many more on the horizon. We’re led by EMT (🩺!) Aaron Molloy who has a decade of healthcare strategy experience, and we’ve recently brought on leaders from across the payor and EMS landscapes. 📲 𝑾𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒊𝒇: **You’re a health plan interested in leveraging a community paramedicine program to reach your members . **You’re a fire department or EMS agency with an MIH-CP program, and you're interested in bolstering and/or growing it with a sustainable funding model. Or, you're interested in launching a new MIH-CP program in your region with the support of local health plans **You’re a strategic partner interested in scalable, community-based health care solutions.  Learn more about us at paralign.health or say hi at info@paralign.health!
