"I enjoy working with a wide variety of people at PCA—our mill employs around 600 individuals, both hourly and salaried. PCA makes a genuine effort to show appreciation for its employees, not just through compensation, but also by organizing “family days” and giving back to the community. My role strikes a good balance: it includes enough routine to provide structure, but also enough variation to keep things interesting. Two people who have been especially influential during my career are Rose Qualls and Serena Jones. Rose trained me when I first started and continues to be a go-to resource. With over 40 years at PCA, she’s always willing to share her knowledge to help in any situation. Serena also shares her expertise and provides the kind of honest feedback that helps me grow, not just as an employee, but as a person. Outside of work, I always have a vacation or weekend getaway planned—something to look forward to. My family and I go to Disney World as often as we can, usually two to three times a year. We started going to Disney in 2011 when our sons were 4 and 7; they’re now 18 and 21. I also love reading, especially anything fiction or Disney-related. My love for reading began in elementary school when I read Anne of Green Gables. Our librarian, Mrs. Candy, always had a book in mind for us to try, and she played a big role in nurturing that passion." -- Dana Adams, Payroll Coordinator, PCA Counce, TN Check back to peek #InsidetheBox at the people of PCA. #CompanyCulture
