Many thanks to Phigenics and Sydney Hayward for an impactful presentation on managing water quality in our hospitals’ sterile processing departments! The audience engagement and Q & A was robust, which tells me that interest in this subject will only continue to grow. We had people from IP (Infection Prevention) and PDC (Planning, Design, and Construction) in the audience, which is a great step forward since facilities operations so closely overlap those disciplines. Here’s our main takeaways: ✅ Our water managment programs may not meet upcoming standards ✅ Our water management teams may not be aware that business as usual isn’t sufficient …and most importantly ✅ Make sure your hospital even has a water management program! #healthcare #healthcareengineering
