“If you want to innovate on care delivery, you need clinicians at the leadership table.” - Michelle Collie, PT, MS, DPT, OCS, CEO of Highbar Physical Therapy On Monday, we teased a conversation we couldn’t wait to share. Today, it’s live on the Practice Growth Podcast. 🎙 From Clinician to CEO: Breaking Barriers and Leading the Future of Healthcare Michelle is one of the few female clinician executives in enterprise PT. In this episode, she chats with Marla Ranieri, DPT, OCS and gets candid about: - Why more clinicians aren’t making it to the executive level - What private equity gets wrong about healthcare - How to cultivate the next generation of clinician leaders One of the most powerful moments? “You can open up an Excel spreadsheet or use a BI tool and say, ‘Here’s how the numbers work’... But if you want to innovate on care delivery, if you want a place where clinicians thrive—you need clinicians at the leadership table.” This one’s for every clinician thinking bigger. And every leader who wants to build something better. 🎧 Listen wherever you get your podcasts. Links in the comments.

Big news from CMS: the 2026 Proposed Rule confirms RTM is here to stay. The 2026 proposed rule introduces new Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) codes that lower the billing threshold significantly… without lowering reimbursement. What’s new: CPT 98XX5 $39.97 average reimbursement per patient Requires only 2–15 days of RTM data in a 30-day period (Previous threshold: 16+ days) CPT 98XX7 $26.20 average reimbursement per patient Covers 10–19 minutes of clinical RTM management in 1 calendar month (Previous threshold: 20+ minutes) In plain terms? The bar to qualify for payment just got much easier to hit. Other reasons it matters: - Easier billing & lighter clinician workload - More predictable revenue, even with fluctuating patient engagement - More inclusive care for all patients - A stronger business case for long-term RTM adoption RTM isn’t just alive. It’s thriving! And the numbers speak for themselves. On PT Wired, Inc., patients using RTM average 5.5 MORE visits per plan of care than those who don’t use RTM. That’s not future potential. It’s today’s reality. And now, with CMS lowering the bar for reimbursement, the clinics that move first will reap big benefits. Is your team ready to make RTM a core part of your care model?

Are your clinic's SOPs protecting your revenue? Many therapists have a "bleeding heart" mindset, but it's crucial to shift towards business to prevent revenue leakage. In this Practice Growth episode, Joshua Grover shares key standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure your practice's financial health: 1. If a patient owes $200+, they must pay before their next session. 2. Avoid over-collecting: Cap credit at $150 before collecting again. 3. Keep debit/credit cards on file. Tailor these guidelines to 95% of your cases, while navigating unique situations. Don't miss the link to the full episode in the comments.

Clinician burnout rarely comes from clinical work. It comes from documentation after hours. Late nights at the clinic. Chasing down unsigned notes. Fighting denials. Waiting on cash. Dr. Steve Ryland PT, DPT and his team at Align Physical Therapy, Inc. are changing that by using the AI tools from Prompt and PredictionHealth. Here's what happened when they started using Sidekick and AI Intake: - 50% reduction in documentation time - 23% drop in denials - Faster, cleaner daily billing - Therapists spending more time with their family and less time on documentation It's not just about automation. It's about getting time and revenue back where they belong. Watch Steve break it down with our own Marla Ranieri, DPT, OCS in this quick clip. Want to watch this full webinar? Most clinic owners track their billing metrics and KPIs. But do you know how to evaluate each one? In the latest Practice Growth Podcast episode, Joshua Grover joins Marla Ranieri, DPT, OCS to break down 6 key metrics every owner should understand. These aren’t just numbers. They’re signals that tell you whether your billing is dialed in or needs attention. Here’s where you want to be: 1. Rejection rate: under 5% 2. Denial rate: also under 5% (if you're close, stop digging! You’re in a good spot) 3. Clean claims rate: above 90% 4. Reimbursement rate: Above 95% 5. Front-end collections at time of service: above 90% 6. Turnaround time: 15 days or less, depending on your payer mix (Josh explains this one in more detail. Watch the clip to better understand the nuances and benchmarks) If you don’t know your numbers (or aren’t sure how to evaluate them), you’re not alone. Watch the clip, then ask yourself: Where am I on these metrics? What levers can I pull to get where I need to be? For the full episode and deep dive, check out the links in the comments.

Staffing shortages, endless documentation, and administrative overload are pulling focus from what matters most: patient care. In our latest live event, The Intelligent Clinic: Battling Burnout with AI, we brought together clinic leaders who are doing more than just talking about the problem. They're solving it by leveraging AI. 🎙️Featuring: William Capraro, VP of Business Development at FYZICAL Chicago Dr. Steve Ryland PT, DPT, Founder and CEO of Align Physical Therapy, Inc. Plus hosts Adam Baliatico, Pedro Teixeira, MD, PhD, and Marla Ranieri, DPT, OCS They shared real-world results from implementing AI-powered tools from Prompt and PredictionHealth: - 50% reduction in documentation time - Higher reimbursement per visit - 50–80% of evals completed before the patient arrives - Retention of staff who were ready to leave - Noticeable mood boost in the clinic, less burnout, and more willingness to cover for colleagues - More hands-on time with patients, increasing both impact and reimbursement potential They also pulled back the curtain on the Prompt + PredictionHealth acquisition. How they complement each other, how to use them in tandem, and how we are creating an intelligent, AI-powered system designed for rehab clinics.
