Rezilient Health was our first investment over 2.5 years ago. At the time they had 1 clinic in St. Louis and less than 12 employees. So it was gratifying, humbling, and exciting for Managing Partner Rob Panepinto to participate at Rezilient’s first Customer and Partner Summit in front of now 60+ employees and their key clients. Rezilient has grown to clinics in 3 states with rapid expansion into several new markets in 2026. We are proud to partner with Danish Nagda, Jeff Gamble, PhD, our co investors and the Rezilient team and can’t wait to see where this team goes next! Jonathan Kilman, 1858 Capital Partners

  • Employee experience of healthcare benefits is now an key measure of health plan design success. Almost 100% of survey respondents measure how happy employees are with their benefits, many using multiple methods. This indicates a shift from purely cost-focused benefits management to a more holistic approach, with the variety of measurement approaches likely reflecting the complexity of quantifying employee experience with healthcare benefits. • 91% of organizations utilize multiple point solutions as part of their health plan, with 31% utilizing five or more. That's a lot of complexity for an already stretched Benefits team to manage. To mitigate this complexity, Herb Catausan is seeing the start of the "great rebundling", with increased transparency and accountability this time. • We opened our third St. Louis CloudClinic a couple weeks ago, and there are more new locations on the roadmap very soon. Our mission: To ensure access to high-quality healthcare doesn't depend on your ZIP code, your schedule, or how long you could wait for an appointment. Founder at Rezilient

Had so much fun reflecting on our journey with one of my favorite investors! Amber Illig was one of the first people to believe and invest in Rezilient Health and has been one of our best investors to this day. We went deep on the founder journey and the builder mindset. Hope you all enjoy!

After investing in 62 startups, it's clear to me: founders that see the need to pivot before it is too late and commit to it are often the difference between tremendous growth or closing down. Too often, founders do the opposite. It's human nature! They fall in love prematurely with a beautiful solution they've designed, rather than relentlessly focusing on the problem and new ways to solve it. Rachel and I sat down with Danish Nagda, Founder and CEO of Rezilient Health, and talked about the harsh necessity and reality of pivoting. He and his co-founder Jeff Gamble, PhD had to give up on a robot that had tested well in user studies but was turning off everyday people who had not been primed (including a CNN news anchor!). This was a very special conversation as Rezilient is one of our fastest growing portfolio companies. Working with (and let's be honest, for) Danish and Jeff has been one of the highlights of my VC career to date. Rezilient delivers hybrid (telehealth + in-person) healthcare to employees in a tech-centric appointment format which results in patient delight and cost savings for their employers. • Preventative care is powerful. Healthcare costs are crushing American businesses. Every renewal brings another double-digit increase, and employees are drowning in deductibles they simply cannot afford. Three leading experts in the benefits space recently shared their insights on how removing financial barriers to preventative care can actually reduce overall healthcare costs for employers. Their message is clear: the old way of doing business isn't working, and innovative approaches to preventative care offer a path forward. • 92% of organizations are bracing for healthcare cost increases, with over two-thirds expecting moderate to significant budget impacts. Tariff changes are already creating substantial downstream pressure on healthcare costs, likely through increased costs of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare supplies. • In the United States, 60% of adults have at least one chronic health condition: illnesses or conditions like chronic pain and fatigue that last at least one year and require ongoing management or restrict an individual’s activities. The solution for employers figuring out how to manage these high-cost claims lies in a proactive approach centered on data analytics, and targeted care coordination, alongside improved access to primary and specialty care.
