We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our Rollins Women+ Employee Resource Group and EY for facilitating a successful Power Up event hosted at Northwest Exterminating's Innovation Center! Women and men across Rollins and our Brands joined in meaningful discussions on the future and importance of women in the workplace.   Teammates heard from our amazing home office and Brands leaders, Renee Pearson, Emily Garcia, Machelle Stockstad, Emily Nowak, MBA, Arlana Mack and Elizabeth B (Beth) Chandler, who shared heartfelt stories about their career journeys, networking tips, the importance of organic relationship building and tons more! Teammates also further explored these topics within their specially curated groups. Though the event had to end, we hope that the relationships developed and the insights both given and gained, will carry on forever as women continue to power up!  

Today marks World Mosquito Day, commemorating Sir Ronald Ross’s 1897 discovery that mosquitoes transmit malaria and raising awareness of the ongoing battle against mosquito-borne diseases, as well as the importance of preventive measures. We asked MissQuito, our exceptional women-led and community-focused mosquito and exterior pest control company, to share some mosquito myth busters. Check out what they shared below and let us know in the comments what mosquito myths or facts you’ve heard! Mosquitoes carry and transmit deadly diseases, such as Malaria and the West Nile virus. Camp Twin Lakes’s dedication to ensuring children with special healthcare needs and life challenges are cared for is essential to our communities. Rollins’ Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are important to us because they help our teammates find community within the workplace and drive positive career and business goals.  The P.E.A.C.E ERG—Promoting Equality, Acceptance, and Cultural Empowerment—recently hosted an Around the World event for teammates to experience, learn about, and taste some treats from an array of cultures in one setting. The event was a success, fostering a sense of belonging and further establishing an intentional space for teammates to be themselves and embrace their culture.  We wholeheartedly support and appreciate our ERGs and the incredible work they continue to do!

Our teammates—Claire Bass, Catelyn Anderson and Kyle Patterson—attended the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta EmpowerHer launch event to support and celebrate Alexandra Ginsberg in recognition of her commitment to serving as the chairwoman of the Young Leader’s Council and a Big to her Little, Ashtyn! Rollins commends our teammates for their continuous involvement in the communities where we live and work.
