September is National Recovery Month. We join our RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery team in recognizing all who have been impacted by substance use disorder and offering help for anyone on their recovery journey and their loved ones who support them. This year we’re encouraging everyone to be a hero and carry naloxone. This lifesaving, opioid overdose-reversal medication, provides individuals the opportunity to receive emergency care and recovery support. In this way, naloxone helps open a window to recovery and provides hope to individuals, their families, and communities. Recovery is possible. Let's raise awareness about substance use disorder and reduce the #stigma for those impacted by the disease of #addiction. #TacklingAddictionTogether #NationalRecoveryMonth #LetsBeHealthyTogether
