As part of the HR Department’s Quarterly Team Building Meeting, they joined forces for Operation Backpack 2025—packing backpacks full of school supplies for local children in need. Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove would like to congratulate Jamichael, Housekeeping Supervisor, for being this month's IMPACT winner! He is committed to making sure the building looks great every day and is always willing to help out when needed. We appreciate everything he does for Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove and their residents.

Congresswoman/Representative Madeleine Dean and her team visited the Dresher Hill Center. They were so excited to have her meet the team and residents and learn all the great things happening at the center. She also had the opportunity to taste some of the Saber Scratch program cinnamon buns! Megan Barbour, Director of Advocacy and Government Relations at PHCA, joined to be part of the discussion. Representative Dean spent some time with the residents and team, and we are so happy for her engagement and dedication to the senior population.

This month, the theme of the Port of Call will be Norfolk, Virginia! The city of Norfolk boasts 235,000 residents and stretches across 66 acres of land. Norfolk is also known as a tree city, with many of its neighborhoods hosting acres of trees and flowers. The residents at participating affiliated communities will be enjoying games and activities centered on Norfolk. Stay tuned for more on the Port of Call in the future!
