Hello LinkedIn! I'm back with another marathon announcement - excited to share that I’ll be running the 2025 New York City Marathon this fall with Team Samaritans — and once again, I’ll be running alongside my dad Niklas Jordow We’re raising funds for Samaritans, Inc., an organization that provides suicide prevention services and grief support to those impacted by suicide. Their work is critical, and I’m proud to support them for a second time! If you're in a position to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support — it means a lot to me, and even more to the people Samaritan serves: https://lnkd.in/eDF286Gi Thank you! 💚

Supporting families after suicide loss shares similarities with supporting those grieving pregnancy loss. The key, as Dr. Tiffany Moore-Simas from UMass Chan Medical School emphasizes, is to follow the parents' lead. A compassionate approach can make all the difference during a difficult times. Thank you to Ron Lancaster of #WVBF 99.7FM/1530AM for talking with me this morning about “Thick Thighs, Tattoos & Breaking Taboos” 📕 I’ll be sharing some clips from our conversation in the coming days, but didn’t want the sun to set without expressing my appreciation to Ron and WVBF #yourhometownradiostation During our chat, I learned that Ron is also a #siblinglosssurvivor 💙 whose sister died in a tragic car accident. We talked about all the ways #siblingloss rearranged our lives—not just the BEFORE and the AFTER, but our family dynamic, and our own identity without our sibling. Holding space for Ron and all the bereaved siblings out there. 💙💙 Today is the final day of July, and the final to order and support 3 #mentalhealth and #suicideprevention charities dear to my heart 💙 The Kacie Project 💙 Samaritans, Inc. 💙 American Foundation for Suicide Prevention #afsp Get your copy tonight 🔗 https://a.co/d/0fTrmr5 Or #linkinbio ☎️ If you or someone you love are in crisis, call or text 9-8-8, 24/7☎️ #healingmiles #irunforteddy #mentalhealth #suicideprevention #siblingloss #marathontraining #runningismytherapy #stopsuicide #suicideloss #suicidelosssurvivor #griefjourney #youarenotalone #therapyworks #itsoktonotbeok #chubbyrunner #strongnotskinny #motherrunner #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #breakthestigma #thickthighstattoosbreakingtaboos #author #authorlife #indieauthor #memoir

26.2 Miles for Every Silent Struggle 💚 Please have a moment to read as I know that suicide will have impacted many people who read this and they remember where they were when they received the shocking call. In 3 months, I’ll be standing at the start line of the New York Marathon — ready to raise funds for Samaritans, a charity that listens when no one else can. This isn’t just about the marathon. It’s about the thousands of silent battles being fought every day — the quiet moments when someone feels like they can't go on, when the world feels too heavy. Samaritans is there for those moments. My friend Niklas takes the calls. Day or night. Without judgment. Without hesitation. He is running too - he asked me to join him - I couldn't say no. Every mile we run in training is for someone who felt alone, for someone who found hope in a conversation or for someone who desperately needed to be heard. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful listening can be. Sometimes, it's not about fixing — it's about being there. That’s what Samaritans does. And that’s why this matters so much to me. If you believe in compassion, in mental health, in human connection — I ask you to support this great cause - and to raise awareness for suicide prevention - you can read my story here . 👉 https://lnkd.in/evXJXmhZ Whether you donate, share this post, or simply take a moment to reach out to someone today — it all matters. It all helps. Let’s make every mile count. 💚 Thank you 🙏 Samaritans, Inc. Mackenzie Morse #NYMarathon #Samaritans #MentalHealthMatters #YouAreNotAlone
