At Soccer Shots, we take immense pride in seeing our team members grow on and off the field. Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone for Coach Nate, who has been promoted from Lead Coach to Head Coach, and now to a Program Lead at Soccer Shots, and has taken a major step toward achieving his career dreams in education! Coach Nate accepted a long-term 3rd-grade substitute position in the Cocalico School District, with the likelihood and hope that it will become permanent. Nate let our team know that his recommendation letter from Soccer Shots directly contributed to him landing his dream job! Nate's story is a testament to the impact Soccer Shots can have beyond the soccer field. His passion for teaching and mentoring young minds has shone brightly in his coaching role, and his journey demonstrates how the skills and experience gained at Soccer Shots can be a powerful stepping stone toward careers in education and other fields. From leading sessions on Soccer Island to connecting with families and partners, Nate has developed the confidence, leadership, and teaching skills that will undoubtedly make him a standout educator in the classroom. Congratulations on this new chapter in your journey, Coach Nate—you’re going to be an incredible Program Lead at Soccer Shots and 3rd-grade teacher in the Cocalico School District! To our team and aspiring educators: let Coach Nate's story remind you that Soccer Shots is more than a job—it’s a platform to grow, lead, and achieve your dreams, whether that’s on the field, in the classroom, or beyond!

At Soccer Shots, we’re inspired daily by the resilience and determination of our coaches, and Coach Sondra’s story is no exception. As a Program Coordinator, Sondra’s passion for running and soccer has long fueled her energy on and off the field. But this time last year, her journey took an unexpected turn. In April of 2024, during the Valley Forge 5-Miler, Sondra pushed through intense foot pain to complete the race, finishing just two minutes slower than her previous year’s time. What she didn’t realize was the extent of her injury. By the next morning, Sondra couldn’t walk. What followed was months of frustration and uncertainty. Doctors discovered she had torn her plantar fascia in her right foot, developed plantar fasciitis in her left foot, and had tendinosis in both ankles. Her recovery was grueling—a combination of laser treatments, custom orthotics, a mobility scooter, a boot, stem cell therapy (over 50 injections!), and new special shoes. Yet through it all, Sondra never gave up hope. Fast forward to today, and Sondra is taking strides—literally—toward her comeback. While she’s not back to running just yet, she’s celebrating small victories, like morning walks with her puppy and completing her first 5K (walking) since her injury. For Sondra, running isn’t just exercise—it’s a passion, a stress reliever, and a way to channel creativity and clarity. Her perseverance throughout this journey is a testament to the power of the mind, the body, and sheer determination. As Sondra puts it, “It’s amazing what your body is capable of once you put your mind to it.” Looking ahead, she’s excited to tackle the races she deferred this past year and dreams of lacing up for a half marathon when her body is ready. Coach Sondra, we are so proud of you! Your strength and resilience inspire us all—on the field and beyond it! #soccershots #beyondthefield #inspiringothers #resilience

At Soccer Shots, we’re constantly inspired by the dedication and passion of our coaches, both on and off the field. We’re thrilled to celebrate an incredible achievement by Coach Leigh Ann Judge, one of our Senior Captains (recently expanded to Marketing-Admin), who completed the Philadelphia Marathon! Leigh Ann’s journey to marathon success started with a simple goal: to boost her stamina and fitness to build endurance for her busy coaching life. She began running last year, squeezing in training runs before and after her coaching sessions. This year, she set her sights on something truly ambitious—a personal goal that wasn’t tied to academics or her career. She decided to take on the challenge of running a marathon, aiming not only to finish but to cross the finish line in under five hours! Months of hard work, discipline, and dedication paid off as Leigh Ann pounded out hundreds of training miles, often waking up early or squeezing runs into her afternoons. Along the way, she leaned on the support of her community. On race day, her perseverance and grit led her to achieve both of her goals—finishing the marathon and doing it in an impressive time under 5 hours! Leigh Ann’s story is a testament to the values we uphold at Soccer Shots: setting bold goals, committing to growth, and showing resilience in the face of challenges. She has taken the same energy and determination that make her a phenomenal coach and applied it to achieving something truly remarkable for herself beyond the field. Congratulations, Leigh Ann, on this incredible accomplishment! You’ve shown us all what it means to push limits and pursue excellence, and we’re so proud to have you as part of the Soccer Shots family. Keep inspiring on the field, and beyond it! #pushlimits #pursueexcellence #soccershots
