Rocket Lab recently announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Geost, a LightRidge Solutions Company, a Tucson, Arizona-based electro-optical and infrared payload development and manufacturing company and provider to high-priority national security satellites. The acquisition marks Rocket Lab’s formal entry into the satellite payload segment, generating additional options among companies that can provide end-to-end national security space solutions. #TradeSpace #PWSA #Industry #Space #SemperCitius

Last week SDA issued a solicitation seeking #industry proposals for the Tranche 2 Demonstration and Experimentation System (T2DES) Europa Program for HALO pool vendors. The Europa solicitation is limited to pre-screened members of the Hybrid Acquisition of Low-Earth Orbit (HALO) prime contractor pool and will have a two-phased source selection approach with two different opportunity tracks. Track 1 seeks a two-space vehicle demonstration with 12-18 months of development and test prior to launch, then at least one year of on-orbit testing. Track 2 is open to commercial solutions that meet high-level Europa priorities and objectives. The timeline for this track is notionally 6 months of on-orbit demonstrations, within 3-6 months of contract award.
