Today we commemorate Juneteenth, a powerful testament to freedom, resilience, and the remarkable achievements of the Black community. As we honor the legacy of Juneteenth, we also acknowledge the work that still lies ahead: Black Americans are twice as likely to be financially vulnerable as white Americans. Equitable access to financial tools and resources is essential to achieve a future of financial health for all. We are proud to highlight Stackwell an alumni of our Financial Solutions Lab program working to strengthen financial health for Black Americans. Founded by CEO Trevor Rozier-Byrd, Stackwell is a digital investment platform that aims to provide the Black community with the tools and guidance to build lasting wealth. Learn how Stackwell's Small Business Investing Program helped 200 Black entrepreneurs grow their personal and business assets: https://hubs.li/Q03sPs1t0 Let's collectively strive to build a future where financial freedom is attainable for all. #Juneteenth #FinHealth #EquityInAction #BlackEconomicEmpowerment

At this point, it’s no secret that I’m passionate about creating pathways to wealth for small business owners. We spend a lot of time working on this at Stackwell That’s also why I’m proud to share the latest study from the Financial Health Network (FHN). When Stackwell teamed up with the Michigan Black Business Alliance to launch the Small Business Investing Program (SBIP) last year, we had a simple goal: support entrepreneurs in Detroit with access to investing tools, funded accounts, and financial education. The FHN’s latest report, “Building Personal Wealth: Empowering Black Small Business Owners Through Investing,” looks at SBIP’s impact. They found SBIP participants taking action, increasing their knowledge and confidence around investing, and shifting their mindsets from short-term survival to long-term goals. We’re so excited about these findings because we know when small business owners enjoy financial security, our communities do too. None of this would have been possible without the MBBA who brought this vision to life with a contribution from Prudential Financial — and Detroit’s small business owners who continue to inspire us with their resilience and ambition. You can find the link to the full report in the comments. #Fintech #SmallBusiness #CEO

📈 READ THE REPORT: The Financial Health Network (FHN) just released a groundbreaking study on Stackwell’s Small Business Investing Program (SBIP), developed in partnership with the Michigan Black Business Alliance Small business owners invest so much of themselves — and their own resources — into building something for their communities. But that often comes at the expense of their personal financial wellness. Built with Stackwell’s programming playbook proven to drive impact, MBBA’s vision, and a contribution from Prudential Financial, SBIP provided a group of Detroit entrepreneurs with investing tools, funded accounts, and financial education to improve their financial wellness. The FHN’s report, “Building Personal Wealth: Empowering Black Small Business Owners Through Investing,” shows how SBIP program helped entrepreneurs chart a course for stronger financial foundations for themselves, their families, and their futures — laying the groundwork for long-term stability and growth. “This report affirms the impact of Stackwell’s playbook – when we meet people where they are, with the right tools and support, we can build financial strength and intergenerational outcomes. We are not only investing in entrepreneurs and their businesses but helping our communities thrive,” said Trevor Rozier-Byrd, Founder and CEO of Stackwell. We’ll continue working alongside our partners to share insights like these and drive collaboration across our industry — because finding new ways to drive measurable impact for small business owners benefits us all. #Fintech #SmallBusiness #Investing 📎 Link to the full report in the comments.

  • At Stackwell, we’re not just talking about closing wealth gaps — we’re out here doing the work. 🚀 Exciting things happening at Stackwell Our Managing Director of the Discovery Fund Elizabeth Coston McCluskey had the opportunity to attend a Washington Wizards game recently as a guest of Stackwell, an incredible portfolio company of ours making waves in financial inclusion. Stackwell has partnered with the Wizards to provide the DMV community with access to investment, education and financial resources. While the Wizards didn’t come out on top that night, the impact Stackwell is having on the community is undeniably a win. But the good news doesn’t stop there! Stackwell just released an exciting new study conducted by the Financial Health Network (FHN) showcasing the results of their Student Investment Program (SIP). Launched in partnership with the Student Freedom Initiative and Prudential Financial, this program is driving real change in the financial landscape for Black Americans, focusing on increasing investment access and education for college students. 🔑 Key findings from the report: - 2.5x increase in students with high investment knowledge - 89% of participants feel like investing is for “people like me” - 32% increase in participants with sufficient savings to cover 3+ months of expenses These results demonstrate the power of programs like SIP in addressing the racial wealth gap. Equity ownership not only builds wealth but empowers communities and drives resilience. And the momentum is building! With $1.65M in new funding, Stackwell is expanding the SIP to ten HBCUs and working hard to raise even more support to scale their programs further. We're proud to support them on this journey and to see how they're reshaping the future of fintech. Let’s keep the momentum going! Check out the findings, share the news, and help us spread the word.
