Sapporo USA and Stone Brewing have come together to form one of the top 15 largest breweries in the United States, building on the strong legacies of our celebrated heritages. We brew badass beers on both coasts at our breweries in Escondido, CA and Richmond, VA, and create amazing experiences at our Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens and Taproom locations. Cat Wiest, YCH Copywriting Manager and Portland, OR Pink Boots Society Chapter Co-Lead, joined the Stone Brewing Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day in San Diego in February! She shares her experience and thoughts in a recent blog about the value of providing educational spaces and how actively engaging in events like Pink Boots brew days has the power to create a positive impact in our community. Cat was joined by Heather Jackson of Jackson Hop Farm, the grower whose lot of Krush™ was featured in this year's annual YCH Pink Boots Blend. They hosted a hop sensory session at the event, providing insight into the hops behind the blend and a unique opportunity to walk attendees through the process of rubbing and smelling hops. This year, Sapporo-Stone Brewing released two unique Pink Boots Collaboration brews: She’s the Brewer, a Double West Coast IPA in 16oz cans, and an exclusive draft release Tigresas del Sur, a pale ale with tamarind. Cat had the opportunity to be a contributor to the recipe of She's the Brewer and participated in the production of Tigresas del Sur during the brew day. She’s the Brewer, and so much more! We’re honoring International Women’s Day at Sapporo-Stone Brewing by recognizing the 240 strong and passionate women who play integral roles across our company. We recently hosted our Women’s Brew Day where we brewed a beer being served at our March 8th International Women’s Day Dinner at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station. We’ve also released Stone She’s The Brewer West Coast IPA, a beer benefitting the Pink Boots Society using the Yakima Chief Pink Boots Hop Blend.
