Sundt's joint venture with PCL Construction is delivering Salt Lake City’s largest-ever public works project, a 48MGD water reclamation facility designed to meet the highest sustainability standards. The Hinarr Hu Moulik East & West student housing building is officially open at Cal Poly Humboldt! This 964-bed community is the largest on campus and expands affordable, sustainable living for students. Through a collaborative design-build approach with architect and interior designer SCB, Sundt implemented innovative, self-perform concrete construction and prefabricated façade systems that accelerated the schedule, reduced on-site labor and ensured long-term durability. With fitness and recreation spaces, study lounges and vibrant outdoor courtyards, Hinarr Hu Moulik is a welcoming community rooted in the beauty of Northern California’s redwoods and coastline. "This is huge, it's a game changer," said Michael Spagna, interim president of Cal Poly Humboldt. "If you ask me what's the single most important thing for making sure students can learn and study here, it's having affordable housing, and that's what this complex will do." This milestone reflects the power of a design-build partnership, delivering housing that supports California State University (CSU) students today and for decades to come. Sundt's bridge expertise connects communities through innovation, efficiency and enduring design. Our teams leverage systematic value engineering and accelerated bridge construction to deliver safe and sustainable infrastructure that stands the test of time. Project spotlights: 🚧 West 7th Street Bridge, Fort Worth, TX A one-of-a-kind landmark featuring 12 massive precast arches, stainless steel accents and pedestrian-friendly walkways. Built with innovative offsite construction methods and BIM technology, Sundt delivered the project ahead of schedule while minimizing traffic disruptions. 🚧 Ocotillo Road Improvements, Town of Gilbert, AZ Currently in progress, Sundt is constructing seven new bridges, including a signature 264-foot steel arch bridge extending Ocotillo Road over Gilbert Regional Park. During preconstruction, our team provided design assist, constructability reviews, value engineering, and cost estimates at every major milestone, ensuring scope and costs stayed on track through multiple design iterations. Nicknamed the “Harvard of the sky,” Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the largest, oldest and most comprehensive aeronautical university in the nation. Sundt's aviation experts are partnering with the university on two new projects­­­­­­­­­­­­­­, one of which is the Strategic Academic Flight Education (S.A.F.E.) Building. Located at the Prescott Regional Airport, the S.A.F.E. building houses instruction space, flight simulators, a hangar fit for two Cessna planes, space for debrief rooms and a full TSA checkpoint. Once complete, students will be able to sit through a lesson, take a practice flight and receive feedback all in the same location. Building on an active airport comes with its challenges, but the team closely coordinates with the air traffic control team when building anything higher than the building’s roofline. With flight simulators installing this fall, the building is clearing for takeoff ✈️
