In this episode of our Associate Interviews series, we head to the US to highlight Nate Gregg, Manufacturing Manager, Peripheral Value Stream, at Terumo Medical Corporation in Elkton, Maryland. After starting his career in window #manufacturing, Nate joined Terumo in search of deeper #purpose, and found it in producing devices that make a difference in patients’ lives. As he puts it, “I was good at making windows, but people don’t look at windows; they look out of them. What we make here at Terumo is contributing to better health via every positive patient interaction with our products.” Now, Nate leads with a focus on #quality, team development, and meaningful impact—from launching complex new products to expanding capacity on high-demand lines. His approach emphasizes open #communication, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement, all while keeping patients at the center. Since 2018, Terumo has contributed to a legacy of service through our partnership with Give Kids the World Village in Orlando, Florida. With heart, hands, and purpose, our associates took a break from our annual National Sales Meeting recently to show up in a big way – dedicating 153 labor hours across a range of projects: - Beautified villas and playgrounds. - Pressure-washed, painted and landscaped. - Washed 20 vehicles and fluffed 420 pillows. - Created enough props to support four months of holiday magic. Collectively, we raised $25,000 to help bring joy to children with critical illnesses and their families. This isn’t just about what we did – it’s about who we are. As part of our ongoing commitment to #environmentalsustainability, we’re proud to share that Delmarva Power has recognized Terumo’s recent lighting retrofit project at our Elkton, Maryland, manufacturing facility. This project involved replacing the facility’s lighting infrastructure – which included more than 1,100 light fixtures – with systems that were more efficient, flexible, and cost-effective. The result was an impressive annual savings of 630,000 kWh. This initiative further reflects Terumo’s dedication to #energyefficiency and reducing our environmental footprint.
