We talk a lot about the benefits of spending time outdoors — and for good reason. One of the things we love most about the projects we work on is helping create spaces where families can connect, unplug, and enjoy nature together. That’s exactly what the Ayres Natural Bridge Park project is all about. Check out the short clip below to see the impact it’s already making in the community! #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature #WeAreOxy

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞! The updates keep rolling in as we inch closer to our September 26 celebration of the Lobatos Bridge Outdoor Classroom & Recreation Enhancement Project! Swipe to see the transformation — from where we started to where we are now. It’s incredible to see four decades of planning and work with the Conejos County community and San Luis Valley residents finally come together. A huge word of thanks to everyone working hard on the ground to bring this vision to life. We’re almost there! #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature #GiveBackToNature #LobatosBridge #SLVGO #SdCNHA #ConejosCounty #CostillaCounty #BureauofLandManagement #Oxy #RGBank #RioGrandeBasinRoundtable #YourRioGrande #AdamsStateUniversity #GatesFamilyFoundation #TrincheraBlancaFoundation #GOCO

It’s hard to believe it’s already August — which means we’re getting closer to wrapping up the Lobatos Bridge Outdoor Classroom and Recreation Enhancement Project! We’ve been busy doing trail work, setting the foundation for shade structures, and even moving some seriously big boulders to help bring the whole space together. Every day, it’s starting to feel more real — and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone once it’s complete! #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature #GiveBackToNature #LobatosBridge #SLVGO #SdCNHA #ConejosCounty #CostillaCounty #BureauofLandManagement #Oxy #RGBank #RioGrandeBasinRoundtable #YourRioGrande #AdamsStateUniversity #GatesFamilyFoundation #TrincheraFoundation #GOCO

If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you probably have some great playground memories — along with a few metal slide burns to prove it! 😅 Upgrading the playground at Ayres Natural Bridge Park was one of many ways we worked to make this already special spot even better. And the best part? A group of kids was ready to test it out the moment we finished! We’re proud of this project and so grateful to our friends at Oxy for making it possible. #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature #WeAreOxy

Does it get cold in Maui? It sure does—at least at Haleakalā National Park! 🌋 A drive up to the summit feels like a journey through the mountains, ending at a breathtaking 10,023 feet above sea level. The temperature at the top is, on average, 30°F cooler than down at the beach — so while it might be a sunny 70° below, you could be greeted by a blustery 40° at the summit. This dramatic change in climate (and the incredible views) make Haleakalā one of the most unique and memorable national parks in the country. #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature

This is an excellent video from our friends at Outdoor Recreation Roundtable, featuring governors from across the country discussing the power of the outdoor recreation economy — and the value of dedicated state offices that support it. We hope you’ll take a moment to watch and help spread the word: the outdoor economy isn’t just about trails and parks — it’s a major driver of jobs, growth, and quality of life for communities nationwide. Be sure to remind your local elected officials just how much it matters. #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature

It's critical that we conserve our public lands and waterways so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy them. 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐥𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭. From small towns to big cities, outdoor recreation supports jobs, drives tourism, and fuels local businesses across the country. Protecting these spaces is not just about conservation—it’s also about supporting the people and communities who rely on them. #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature

A big thanks to the team at KGWN TV for covering our recent workday at Ayres Natural Bridge Park! We truly love exploring our public lands and waterways—and seeing big crowds out enjoying them makes our hearts happy. There’s something special about watching families, hikers, and nature lovers soaking it all in. But let’s be honest: summer crowds can be a little overwhelming. That’s why we love articles like this one. It highlights some incredible spots that offer all the beauty without the wall-to-wall visitors you’ll find at places like Zion or the Grand Canyon this time of year. If you’ve got a summer trip planned—or have a favorite hidden gem—we’d love to hear about it! Drop it in the comments below.👇 #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature
