Congratulations to Mosa Makhado on the successful completion of his one-year J1 Internship in the Culinary department. Over the past year, Mosa gained invaluable training and experience while rotating through key areas of Culinary, including Banquets, Pastry and Main Kitchen. His outstanding performance earned him a nomination for Colleague of the Month and left a great impression on those who worked alongside him. Yesterday, we gathered to celebrate Mosa's time with us with a farewell celebration attended by colleagues from various departments. While his presence will be missed greatly, we’re excited to see where his career takes him next. Wishing you all the best, Mosa!

Huge thanks to Miel Coffee Co. for bringing their beautiful mobile coffee cart to the hotel this morning! Miel Coffee Co. is a Black-owned, woman-owned business based right here in the DMV, and we couldn’t be more proud to support and spotlight their incredible work. From the smooth coffee to the thoughtful service, every detail was truly top-notch. Also a big thank you to our very own Pastry Team for the delicious red velvet cake we got to indulge in with our coffee. Our team had full cups and even fuller hearts — thanks for bringing us a latte love this morning. ☕❤️
