The Zephyr Project is an open source RTOS built for resource constrained devices.
About us
The Zephyr Project is an open source collaborative effort uniting leaders from across the industry to build a best-in-breed small, scalable, real-time operating system (RTOS) optimized for resource constrained devices, across multiple architectures. Hosted by The Linux Foundation, the Zephyr Project’s goal is to establish a neutral project where silicon vendors, OEMs, ODMs, ISVs, and OSVs can contribute technology to reduce the cost and accelerate time to market for developing the billions of devices that will make up the majority of the Internet of Things.

🤔Curious about the rising momentum behind the Zephyr open-source project? In this episode, David Leach breaks down why NXP Semiconductors is deeply invested in Zephyr’s success. As a founding Platinum member, NXP works closely with the community to deliver production-ready solutions that meet customer needs. You’ll hear how NXP helps ensure robust connectivity options—like Bluetooth Classic and Wi-Fi—while contributing both time and funding to drive the project forward. The very first conference on #ZephyrRTOS 🪁 in Science and Education is about to begin. With the Abbe Center of Photonics we got a fantastic location at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena and we got a great panel of speakers. For the curious the agenda is online https://lnkd.in/eRRu4K32 and for those who can't attend we plan to record all sessions for later retrieval, too. But for now Coffee is ready and everyone is looking forward to sharing their experiences, insights and making new connections around Zephyr and its use in research and education. Many thanks to Navimatix GmbH and Sandra Kreußler for organizing and facilitating this event and also inovex GmbH for providing additional support. Navimatix GmbH inovex GmbH The Zephyr Project

It has been a pleasure to help on the Zephyr OS training in Prague organized by Arrow Electronics. The attendees used a STM NUCLEO-H503RB board with a X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1 (https://lnkd.in/diNXthVB) Motion MEMS and environmental sensor expansion board . My special thanks go to Dusan Petricko and all the Arrow Electronics fellows (our STMicroelectronics partners) that put their efforts to make this training effective and successful. Good to see that The Zephyr Project is getting more and more interest!

On September 18 I joined The Zephyr Project meetup at Microchip Technology Inc. office. I’ve been working with Zephyr for about three years; the meetup was a great chance to connect face-to-face, swap practical tips, and hear hands-on, useful talks from the speakers. Big thanks to Microchip for organizing and to everyone I met, really energizing conversations. Can’t wait for the next one 😊🚀 #TheZephyrProject #Meetup #Microchip #EmbeddedSystems
I had an amazing time at the The Zephyr Project meetup in Garching on September 18 at the Microchip Technology Inc. office! It was inspiring to connect with so many incredible people from the community - thank you to everyone involved for making this such a great event. I was also especially happy to catch up with my former colleagues from my time at Microchip, when I worked on my master’s thesis there. Great seeing you again Axel Petereit, Tim Scherer, Dirk Mueller, Christof Toelken and all the others! 😊 Looking forward to the next meetup and more great conversations 🚀 #TheZephyrProject #Meetup #Microchip #bavariamatic
