Think you can do your boss's job? If you're a junior accountant, you might soon find out. New hires at PwC will be doing the roles that managers are doing within three years, because they will be overseeing AI performing routine, repetitive audit tasks, Jennifer Kosar, AI assurance leader at PwC, told Business Insider in an interview. "People are going to walk in the door almost instantaneously becoming reviewers and supervisors," she said. PwC, one of the "Big Four" accounting and consulting firms, is deploying AI to take over tasks like data gathering and processing. This is leaving entry-level employees free to focus on "more advanced and value-added work," Kosar said. You might network for weeks without landing a solid lead. You might put yourself out there and not get the response you hoped for. You might change industries, only to feel like you're starting from scratch. But that’s not failure. Failure is never updating your resume because rejection feels too personal. Failure is not applying because you're scared you're not "qualified enough." Failure is sitting in a role you’ve outgrown because the idea of change is uncomfortable. This image is the perfect reminder: showing up, trying, missing the mark, learning, and trying again - that’s progress. If you're in the middle of a job search or considering a new direction, keep aiming. Keep launching arrows. The only way to hit the target is to stay in the game. • Asking hard questions is the foundation for innovation and progress. Smart questions lead to smart decision making. Leaders do what's best for the team to succeed and you can't do that if you aren't asking them what they need.

    Top #6 Leadership Influencer 🇩🇪 (Favikon-Ranking) | Ex-Site Director | Master Blackbelt | Leadership & Operational Excellence Expert | 3X Author | I help Department & Site Heads build High Performing Teams 🚀

10 Questions Every Leader Should Ask Their Team (Before It’s Too Late) Ask. Listen. Act. These questions can transform trust, clarity and performance fast. Most leaders wait until things are broken to ask the real questions. But high-performing teams aren’t built on assumptions. They’re built on conversations that matter. Here’s a guide that opens doors to growth, alignment, and retention 👇 1️⃣ What’s one thing slowing us down right now? ↳ Bottlenecks kill momentum. Action: Ask this in your next meeting, spot common themes, remove 1 blocker within 48 hours. 2️⃣ What’s unclear about your role or priorities? ↳ Confusion = stalled execution. Action: Clarify ownership in 1:1s, confirm in writing, re-align weekly. 3️⃣ Do you feel your work makes an impact? ↳ People need purpose to perform. Action: Link tasks to the bigger picture. Celebrate wins. Ask what impact matters to them. 4️⃣ What’s one thing I could do better as your leader? ↳ Feedback fuels trust. Action: Ask with humility, act on it, and share how you're growing too. 5️⃣ What’s blocking your success here? ↳ Unspoken blockers stall great talent. Action: Identify them in 1:1s, clarify root causes, solve one this week. 6️⃣ Do you feel safe speaking up? ↳ Safety drives innovation. Action: Use anonymous check-ins. Reward honesty. Invite dissent early. 7️⃣ What should we celebrate more? ↳ Recognition = retention. Action: Spotlight small wins. Encourage peer shoutouts. Make it regular. 8️⃣ Is there anything you’re holding back? ↳ Silence hides truth. Action: Ask this privately. Listen fully. Act fast—and visibly. 9️⃣ What would make your work feel more meaningful? ↳ Meaning fuels motivation. Action: Explore personal drivers in 1:1s. Align responsibilities with values where possible. 🔟 What’s one idea you’ve had lately that we haven’t acted on? ↳ Untapped ideas = missed opportunity. Action: Create a space for idea sharing. Revisit unused suggestions. Act on at least one this month. 💡 Leadership isn’t just doing. It’s asking the right questions—before you lose trust, top talent, or time. If you’re leading a team in 2025, don’t wait for disengagement to show up in the metrics. Start the conversations that change everything. 🔁 Which of these will you ask this week? 📌 Looking to transform your Team into a High-Performing Unit? Contact me to discuss how I can support your team's growth and success. ♻️ Share this to inspire others to focus on what matters. ✅ Follow me Daniel Hartweg for more real, practical leadership insights every week.

  • Unfortunately, many of us have experienced a toxic workplace at some point. It's often only after we've left that we can clearly see what made the environment so unhealthy. When you're in the middle of it, though, it’s much harder to recognize.
