Staying connected at this year’s U.S. Open was seamless thanks to Cisco’s secure and reliable network infrastructure. From traversing the grounds to tracking their favorite players, fans were able to stay close to the action from tee to green all championship long.

Four years later (and counting), the Pathways Internship Program continues to identify and develop the next generation of people seeking careers in golf, thanks to support from foundational sponsor Deloitte. The Pathways are one important part of the USGA’s annual commitment to providing valuable work experience through internships.

“Our original vision was… let’s use this golf course to be a positive force for the community.”   As a founding member of this week’s U.S. Junior Amateur host site Trinity Forest Golf Club, USGA President Fred Perpall, FAIA knew he wanted to build something more than just a championship-caliber course.

Did you know we test approximately 750,000 types of golf equipment annually? This important work is a part of the USGA's Golf House Pinehurst, where a team with substantial golf industry expertise is responsible for operating the testing equipment in our state-of-the-art facility.    All of this work is done to ensure that a player’s skill, not their equipment, determines success on the course. 

It was great hosting Deloitte adaptive sports and golf fans at the 4th U.S. Adaptive Open this week at Woodmont Country Club!

What a week at the 4th U.S. Adaptive Open! A field of 96 players representing eight impairment categories came to Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md., and our staff, volunteers and everyone in attendance left with renewed faith that this game truly is for everyone. Congratulations to Kipp Popert for winning his third straight men's overall title, joining Tiger Woods in the USGA record books, and to Kim Moore for taking the women's overall title for the second time. As part of Golf Channel's live broadcast, Deloitte’s U.S. CMO Scott Mager spoke with Andy Stevenson about the company's elevated commitment to adaptive golf. 👏

Thanks to Kipp Popert for visiting the USGA Golf Museum & Library, becoming the first U.S. Adaptive Open winner to see his name in the Hall of Champions! Popert will look to claim his third consecutive title at Woodmont Country Club in early July.
