Vantage now supports billing data ingestion from Databricks System Tables, for the most accurate and native way to visualize your Databricks costs. Previously, before Databricks released System Tables, we ingested cost data from Billable Usage Logs, which provided SKU-level usage at list prices, but didn’t include discounts. That meant users had to do some manual work to reconcile their actual costs. With the new System Tables integration, users can get even more precise usage quantities and see the list price before and after discounts, with no manual work. This makes it easier than ever to visualize and optimize Databricks costs alongside 20+ other native integrations.

We’re expanding Kubernetes Agent Cost Data to include PVC Labels and Node Labels! - Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) Labels are applied to volume stores and tag storage for filtering, grouping, and attributing costs to the right teams or workloads. - Node Labels tag compute nodes to allocate compute costs based on infrastructure characteristics, track usage across node pools or environments, and identify optimization opportunities. These enhancements help you filter usage by things like team, app, or environment, so you can really see what is driving costs.

Vantage just launched the Remote MCP Server, so you can interact with your cloud cost data using LLMs like Anthropic Claude, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Bedrock, and Cursor right from your browser! It’s secure, simple to set up, and accessible to both technical and non-technical users. Hosted on Cloudflare and powered by Auth0, it brings enterprise-grade authentication and authorization out of the box. You can ask natural language questions like: - Which teams drove our highest costs last quarter? - Show me anomalies in our AWS spend - How much did we spend on Data Transfer last month? and more. You can also combine multiple MCP Servers to share context across teams, build reports, troubleshoot faster, and more, without hopping between tabs or tools. Vantage is launching persistent metrics recovery for Kubernetes. Customers use the Vantage Kubernetes agent to get accurate cost visibility, real-time rightsizing recommendations, chargeback for internal teams, and more. Historically, if the Vantage API was unreachable (due to internet outages, S3 issues, or customer-side config changes), the agent’s in-memory buffer could lose hourly metric data, resulting in gaps in Kubernetes usage and cost reporting. With persistent metrics recovery, the agent now detects failed uploads and stores hourly metrics in a fallback location for up to 96 hours. Once connectivity is restored, the data is re-uploaded, filling in any gaps automatically. That way, you’re able to get the most accurate and complete view of your Kubernetes usage and costs, even in the face of temporary network or service interruptions. Vantage now supports Custom Provider uploads in any CSV format, no reformatting required! Vantage supports over 20 native integrations, but many vendors don’t offer billing APIs, leaving CSV invoices as the only option for customers wanting to see all their costs alongside each other. Previously, these had to be manually transformed into the FinOps FOCUS format before uploading to Vantage. With this enhancement to Custom Providers, you can upload cost files in their original format. Vantage will use AI to automatically extract relevant columns, map them to the FOCUS standard, and ingest them into your dataset for cost reporting, virtual tagging, cost allocation, and more. This makes it easier to bring in costs from every vendor, API or not, and view them alongside your cloud costs. 🔗 Learn more in the comments.
