This honor from the Project Management Institute underscores the scale, complexity, and innovation the Project One team brought to transforming the University of Arkansas System into a pioneer of education resilience and statewide academic portability. A big round of applause to the entire University of Arkansas System implementation teams, including the partnership with Deloitte and Workday — turning this effort of collaboration into reality. The recent #NACUBO Annual Meeting 2025 provided a powerful opportunity to reflect on the evolving landscape of higher education. Institutions today are navigating significant changes to find alternative student pathways of learning, while diversifying revenue streams, and maximizing technology investments to stay ahead of the curve with AI. The ultimate goal remains constant, ensuring institutional resilience and achieving positive student outcomes. During the conference, I had an insightful discussion with Mike Champa and Brendan McHugh of Huron. We connected on the critical themes emerging from the conference and the industry as a whole—themes that are essential for navigating uncertainty with a robust digital strategy. This is a pivotal moment for higher education to build a lasting legacy of learning and innovation. Our thanks to the Tambellini Group, now a part of MGT for a fantastic week at the #FutureCampusSummit. It was an honor to be part of the Tambellini Group's 2025 Future Campus Summit in New York City this week! Thank you to the entire Tambellini Group, now a part of MGT team for organizing such a thoughtful and impactful event. The format, which moved beyond traditional presentations to include meaningful peer exchange and scenario-based dialogues, was incredibly effective for tackling the imperative for change we are all facing in higher education. The agenda was packed with relevant sessions, from navigating financial uncertainty and modernizing the workforce with AI to managing institutional risk. I want to extend a special thank you to Michael Latsko from Arizona State University, Elias Eldayrie from the University of Florida, Samantha Singhal from Workday, and Michael Anderson from Tambellini Group, now a part of MGT for an engaging and insightful panel discussion on "Leading Through Change." Some of the key themes from the conversation included: Mission-Driven Alignment: Elias Eldayrie shared that an IT organization's goal isn't to be the best IT organization, but to help the university become the best university. All technology and investment decisions must be anchored to the institution's strategic goals. Elias shared examples of University of Florida innovations and mission aligned projects enabled by technology investments. The foundation of each investment is centered on mission and community impact. Culture and Mindset as the True Engine of Change: Michael Latsko shared practical ways to foster agility, such as embedding adaptive leadership into daily conversations and activities. He also highlighted the importance of shifting your mindset from viewing technology as a one-time purchase to a continuous investment, enabling institutional agility in times of disruption. Instead of being locked into aging systems and processes for over a decade, universities must constantly adapt and evolve their processes and technology to sustain relevance. The Urgency of Action: Samantha Singhal underscored that the accelerating pace of change demands quicker, data-driven decisions. She urged leaders to reframe the business case for new initiatives by calculating not just the ROI, but also the strategic cost of inaction. Feeling inspired by the conversations and connections made. #ForeverForward #HigherEd #FutureCampusSummit #Leadership #ChangeManagement #EdTech #Innovation #AI #TeamWorkday Workday for Higher Education
