Vince Giang didn’t take the traditional path into product management, and that’s exactly what makes his perspective so valuable. From mechanical engineering to operations to product, his story is a great reminder that curiosity and collaboration can take you far. “Workrise helped kickstart my journey into product management. After graduating with a mechanical engineering degree, I found myself working on interesting technical projects, yet I felt disconnected from the user. This led me to operational roles at startups where I worked more closely with product teams, implementing capabilities where I witnessed the direct impact on users.  When I joined Workrise, these experiences converged, enabling my transition to product management. At Workrise, I directly contribute to our mission to transform the oil and gas industry. One of my proudest achievements has been leading our product expansion into Canada. Identifying the unique complexities of each region was a challenging yet rewarding experience. What made this project work was the direct collaboration with our Canadian teammates and living our value Solutions Over Egos. We bounced ideas off each other, comparing “how we do things in the US” with “how it works up north.” That back and forth was invaluable, and we would’ve missed crucial details had I done it alone.  By combining our perspectives, we achieved something that works seamlessly for both markets. From representing investment banks in New York to becoming a key player at Workrise, Chase Dalton’s path is truly inspiring. What started as a short-term contract quickly turned into a long-term commitment, and it's easy to see why it was a fit. "After growing up in Austin and graduating from the University of Texas, my legal career took me to New York, where I represented investment banks in leveraged buyouts. I learned a lot in those early years, but I was happy to make my way back to Austin. I first encountered Workrise as outside M&A counsel, when I had the opportunity to join as a short-term contractor in their office to support ongoing acquisitions. When I first walked into the office, I knew I wanted to stay long-term. Now as Deputy General Counsel, I manage contracts, transactions, and corporate governance, supporting Workrise's ambitious growth trajectory. Whether it's SAAS agreements or complex acquisitions, each day brings new challenges that demand creative solutions. Recently, I led the legal negotiations to acquire a Canadian service company, navigating international tax structures and regulations. What makes my role rewarding is collaborating on projects like this and promoting our value Solutions Over Egos. I'm proud to work alongside our exceptional legal team, and partner daily with colleagues across the company – from engineers to account managers to financial analysts. At Workrise, I'm grateful to be part of a team that's transforming the energy industry and maintaining a culture of growth and cooperation." From Sales to Revenue Operations, Meagan Howard's adaptability and diverse skill set have become invaluable to Workrise. Her story underscores the importance of embracing change and the rewards of a career built on continuous learning. “Working at Workrise has given me such a diverse set of experiences and allowed me to have a unique career path that I couldn't have imagined anywhere else. I joined the company in 2017 (then RigUp) as one of the first Enterprise sales executives. The experience of working at an early-stage startup during a time of tremendous growth was invaluable. I gained skills along the way that allowed me to transition into sales leadership and, eventually, revenue operations. These roles have allowed me to work across departments, learn about different industries, and build relationships throughout the organization. The breadth of experience I've gained at Workrise has also been instrumental in understanding how different parts of the organization contribute to our revenue goals and customer success. Meet Samuel Ingram, SHRM-CP, Workforce HR Operations Lead, a true champion for both professional development and Workrise's mission. This month, we're delighted to share his story of growth and achievement. “Workrise has been instrumental in my professional growth and sense of belonging. Over the past year, with the support of Workrise, I was able to earn my SHRM certification. For years, I'd worked in Human Resources, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing a deep understanding of the workforce. While I was successful, I felt a formal certification would validate my skills and reveal areas where I could improve. The course was quite an investment, and during a self-review, there was a question asking, "How can we support you?" I took that opportunity to request help, and Workrise stepped up. They recognized the value of my professional development and fully supported me in completing the course and earning my SHRM certification. I'm incredibly grateful for their belief in me, and I'm already looking forward to pursuing the next certification to further enhance my contributions to the team.” As we celebrate Black History Month, we're reminded of the importance of empowering individuals to achieve their full potential.
