A new school year should be filled with excitement and possibility. For too many kids in Pierce and Kitsap Counties, it comes with uncertainty and hardship. At the Y, kids find more than after-school care. They find mentors who believe in them, friends who cheer them on, and a safe place where they can be themselves. 💙 Your gift helps make this possible. Together, we can ensure every child has the support they need to thrive this school year. 👉 Give today: https://lnkd.in/gwdmmdvR

About us
The Y is a cause-driven organization focused on three key areas: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We believe a strong community can only be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors. Our programs, services, and initiatives enable youth to realize their potential, offer families ways to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster social responsibility.

Six years of camp. Three sisters. Three roles. Elizabeth, Victoria, and Avery have each experienced YMCA Day Camp in their own way: leading as a counselor, learning as a Counselor in Training, and playing as a camper. Together, they bring the Y’s values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility to life every day. “It’s about being an impact in kids’ lives and helping them grow as individuals and as a group,” says Elizabeth. Our Back to School fundraising campaign has kicked off, and as a nonprofit, we know our impact is greatest when the community rallies together to meet the moment. Every day, kids across Pierce and Kitsap Counties walk into YMCA programs where they are known, supported, and safe. Some of these kids are facing challenges no child should have to navigate – but thanks to the generosity of people like you, they have a place to belong. Can you help us ensure every child has a safe place to grow? https://lnkd.in/gwdmmdvR

💙 Compassion in Action 💙 Our community has been absolutely incredible this year in supporting our Annual Campaign — your generosity is impacting lives right here at home! Thanks to your support, we’re able to continue our mission of providing essential services of providing a place for spirt, mind and body by removing financial barriers in the Lakewood community. As a special thank-you, our top contributors will receive a stewardship gift — lovingly crafted by our Summer Day Camp kids through a creative arts project. These gifts are only made possible by the generous donation of pots, plants, and soil from our amazing next door neighbor and community partner, the Lakewood Lowe's Companies, Inc. Thank you all for being the heart of our mission! ❤️🌱🎨

When Coach Rick learned his granddaughter's second grade class wasn’t receiving water safety lessons, he didn’t wait for someone else to fix it. He worked with the Tom Taylor Family YMCA, the school, and local businesses to make sure every child had the chance to learn lifesaving skills. One volunteer can make a lasting difference.
