Despite getting hit hardest by the pandemic and forced to close their doors with fewer resources than the corporate behemoths, small business owners and their employees’ confidence has been shaken less than assumed. LinkedIn’s Workforce Confidence Index, a snapshot of how professionals are feeling about their job, financial and career outlooks, found that small businesses, the self-employed and contractors were less confident about the economy than the rest of U.S. workers. Compared with respondents overall, workers at small businesses (a category including both owners and employees) were significantly more likely to say they doubt their ability to improve their financial situation over the next six months. The self-employed and contractors showed the largest divergence from U.S. sentiment when asked about their ability to get or hold a job; both groups see a shaky employment outlook. How well do you expect your business to recover from the coronavirus pandemic? ✍: Jordyn Dahl 📊: Vrushank Nayak

We can help the little guy if we are still working, Like PPCP employees are doing this week. We the employees are buying subs from a very small general store, to help them through this time. It would be great to see other companies that are working do the same for the little guy.

I work in a small business as a hairstylist and I am semi retired and I need to work just to make ends meet. I am very worried as to how this is going to play out. Any suggestions how to manage would be greatly appreciated.

These are challenging times. Steady as she goes. They say. This is when are creative minds can overcome this pandemic. Network w everyone. When you are in the thick of things its difficult. However, if you look over your shoulder and have an army behind you. That will even the odds. It will get better eventually. Hang n there and together we can beat this.
