European Parliament’s Post

Europe is facing the most profound military threat to its territorial integrity since the end of the Cold War.   These words are from a resolution approved by MEPs on Wednesday, where Parliament calls on the EU to act urgently and ensure its own security.   Parliament is therefore calling for the following actions: - Development of a fully-capable European pillar in NATO - A united and clear long-term vision for the European defence industry - A significant increase in common procurement of equipment from EU countries - Simplified decision making on European defence   The resolution comes ahead of the publication of plans setting out the future of European defence next week that should include, according to MEPs, “truly ground-breaking efforts” and actions “close to those of wartime” from EU countries.   Parliament warns that, without a substantial investment increase, EU security and defence objectives will not be reached for either military support to Ukraine, nor for the improvement of common European security.   Read more: https://europa.eu/!vH3Whk

Hopefully this time European bureaucrats will listen to true specialists, not delusional kids like Greta. With directives and convergent programs you will not stop the missiles. Once you decided that everything could only be made with money and you spent 300 billion euros on a stupid green deal. You are now preparing to spend another 860 billion euros, but if you still bet on bureaucracy and stupid frames, the consequences will not only be cold weather and the lack of a bathroom. Money cant buying technology. I want to play Beethoven, but even take 100 million euros, I won't be able to do it.

Russian tanks and missiles do not meet EU's emission standards so I don't expect any threat from that corner.

Why don't you start by restoring what has been damaged in the last 20 years: #Energy , #Industry and maybe also a bit of R&D ? All needed to build #Defence

Europe does not face any military threat, but is trying to trigger an even greater war against Russia.
