EPISODE 142: Damon Lembi & his book, The Learn-It-All Leader: Mindset, Traits and Tools In this conversation, Damon, a two-time bestselling author and CEO of Learn It, a live learning platform, and I discuss Damon's journey from a promising baseball career to becoming a leader in the learning and development field. We cover so many aspects of personal and professional leadership, like the importance of humility, curiosity, and mentorship. Damon shares insights from his book, emphasizing that great leaders are always in the making and that everyone has the potential to lead.  There are so many things I learned from Damon in this conversation and his life-long athlete's mindset, which has helped him move through any obstacle that's come his way. The important part to understand, though, is that regardless of that fight to move forward, imposter syndrome can set it. But it is that athlete's mindset -- from which we can all learn tenacity, resilience, and commitment -- that allows us to move through that imposter sensation. There's also power in what we can bring out of others, especially when it's the greatness they hold that they might not have been aware of. Finally, I loved comparing notes with Damon on the power of hosting a podcast and how it's changed us for the better, where we see most of our interactions now as opportunities to ask, listen, and learn from those in our community, whether it's through a longer conversation or a moment in passing.
