This journal was the winner of the Helmut Kipphan award for best overall student journal presented at the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts Annual Technical Conference in Pittsburgh. The journal featured both print and mobile-ready online components and included research works of students in the School of Print Media at RIT. The smith sewn printed book featured an exposed variable data printed spine personalized with the readers' last names and a removable protective wrap-around cover…
This journal was the winner of the Helmut Kipphan award for best overall student journal presented at the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts Annual Technical Conference in Pittsburgh. The journal featured both print and mobile-ready online components and included research works of students in the School of Print Media at RIT. The smith sewn printed book featured an exposed variable data printed spine personalized with the readers' last names and a removable protective wrap-around cover. The small team defied the odds when competing against other higher education institutes and brought home the cup eighth time between 2001 and 2011.
