This Study Abroad course starts with 2 ½ weeks of class work at the University of Miami from June 25 through July 11. The second part of the course, meets daily at the University of Westminster, Harrow Campus, London, from July 13 through August 6. Seminars include scriptwriting, cinematography, sound, and editing. The first week of the course is devoted to pre-production in which students can break into groups of four and create a script through extensive research and location scouting for… Show more

This Study Abroad course starts with 2 ½ weeks of class work at the University of Miami from June 25 through July 11. The second part of the course, meets daily at the University of Westminster, Harrow Campus, London, from July 13 through August 6. Seminars include scriptwriting, cinematography, sound, and editing. The first week of the course is devoted to pre-production in which students can break into groups of four and create a script through extensive research and location scouting for a digital documentary production on "The British Difference".

During the second week, students in groups of four, with a British graduate assistant from the University of Westminster, go out on location around London and its environs to shoot their projects. The third week is devoted to post-production on high-end Media 100 editing components to create a final video that includes multiple sound tracks as well as state of the art visuals. Show less
