In February 2011, this project was made a semi-finalist in the International Dell Social Innovation Challenge out of more than 1500 global applicants. -

The LEAP Foundation is a US-based not-for-profit that helps high school and college-aged students, get a “7 year LEAP on success”. LEAP does this by inviting over 500 students to the campus of UCLA for a week-long leadership program where the curriculum is based on experiences of those who have accomplished great success.
Having been one of the first five Australian participants on the program in 2010, I became the first Australian coach on the program in 2011 and returned as a coach…The LEAP Foundation is a US-based not-for-profit that helps high school and college-aged students, get a “7 year LEAP on success”. LEAP does this by inviting over 500 students to the campus of UCLA for a week-long leadership program where the curriculum is based on experiences of those who have accomplished great success.
Having been one of the first five Australian participants on the program in 2010, I became the first Australian coach on the program in 2011 and returned as a coach and a presenter in 2012 and 2013 talking on how to leverage success principles. For the few years I have also been appointed a 'head coach' and given the responsibility of leading one of the coaching groups, where I worked to provide support and assistance to 8 of my fellow coaches. -

Pride Cup exists to challenge LGBTI+ discrimination within sporting clubs - and make them welcoming and supportive environments for LGBTI participation and fans. According to 'Out on the Fields' study into Australian sport, 80% of participants have witnessed or experienced homophobia in sport; 75% believe an openly gay person would not be safe as a spectator at a sporting event; and 87% of gay men and 75% of lesbians are completely or partially in the closet while playing sport, with many fearing discrimination from players and officials. Pride Cup began as a powerful gesture of mateship in a country footy club and has grown in a movement for change that connects and unites communities, transforms culture and provides powerful, diverse role models. Good club culture and leadership can positively impact social inclusion and community wellbeing, well beyond the playing field.

Pride Cup is a movement for change that aims to unite communities, provide diverse role models and make sport a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Sporting Clubs are the heartbeat of our communities and good club culture and leadership can positively impact social inclusion and community wellbeing, well beyond the playing field.
