Marisa Hamamoto is the first professional dancer named People Magazine “Women Changing the World.” A leading authority on mental wellness, disability inclusion, Asian American experience, building a culture of belonging, and changemaking, Marisa is a LinkedIn Top Voice, and has been featured on Good Morning America, NBC Today, Forbes, Fast Company, amongst other media outlets. As a sought-after international speaker, performing artist, and creative director, Marisa has been a speaker at the United Nations, shared the stage with Tim Cook at Apple HQ’s Steve Jobs Theater, and her clients and partners include Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta, Red Bull, Deloitte, adidas, PayPal, Farmers Insurance, Kaiser Permanente, among other forward-thinking brands. Marisa is a spinal stroke survivor, a late-diagnosed Autistic, and a proud fourth-generation Japanese American. She is the founder of Infinite Flow Dance, an award-winning dance company and nonprofit that employs disabled and nondisabled dancers with diverse, intersectional identities, with a mission to advance disability inclusion, one dance at a time. Marisa is bilingual and bicultural. She completed her BA & MA from Keio University, Tokyo, and is an Honorary Member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science. Most recently, she was a Finalist for Best Film for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge 2025 - Film: "Killed It."

Marisa made history along with wheelchair dancer Piotr Iwanicki by becoming the first dancer to perform at Apple’s Steve Jobs Theater, sharing the stage with Apple CEO Tim Cook.

    As a choreographer specializing in creating movement on diverse bodies, she choreographed a wheelchair dance scene in the Emmy award-winning ABC Comedy “Speechless” Season 3. Other projects as a Creative Director and Choreographer that Marisa has enjoyed working on include partnering with Microsoft Flip, a free and simple social learning video platform for educators, learners, and families, on launching their “dance lens”, an AR filter teaching users a simple dance, and partnering with Refinery 29 - 29 Rooms, producing a raving closing dance performance with a cast of six diverse femmes artists for their 4-day pop-up in Los Angeles.

    Marisa also enjoys speaking and performing at colleges where she opens the hearts and minds of young people. Colleges she has presented at include: Tulane University, Princeton University, University of Washington - Bothell, University of California - Irvine, University of California - Los Angeles, Everett College, California Polytechnic University - Pomona, Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College, California State University - East Bay, amongst other campuses.

During the pandemic, Infinite Flow launched Scoops of Inclusion, a short film and online learning platform empowering kids to celebrate diversity and take part in creating an inclusive world.
