Hard truth time: you're not going to be a globally competitive ecosystem when your companies are raising less than a tenth of what those from other regions are. All other efforts are futile until you solve this. Your companies will stay relatively small and get acquired early (European quantum companies are already choosing to be acquired by US competitors as raising rounds is too slow and hard here). Honestly, like many EU strategies this reads less like trying to win, and more like trying to not get shut out completely. https://lnkd.in/eJy7_zRm

Varda designs and operates spacecraft that can manufacture pharmaceuticals and advanced crystals in microgravity before returning them to Earth safely. Will Bruey, Delian Asparouhov, Daniel Marshall MaintainX raised $150 million in Series D funding at a $2.5 billion valuation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Bain Capital Ventures, The D. E. Shaw Group Ventures, and others. MaintainX is an AI-powered maintenance platform for manufacturers, schools, hospitality, and other industries with large physical footprints. Chris Turlica, Hugo Dozois-Caouette Polimorphic raised $18.6 million in Series A funding from General Catalyst, M13, and Shine Capital.
