Accountant

Chesapeake Search Partners is exclusively partnering with our client, a national leader in the Services and Hospitality industry, to identify an Accounting Associate to join their team in the Lutherville, MD area. This is a hands-on role focused on reconciliations, general ledger work, transaction processing, expense management, and monthly close support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and review bank and merchant account reconciliations
• Manage sales tax filings and ensure timely, accurate submissions
• Support month-end close activities and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Reconcile and audit data across multiple internal systems
• Process and support financial reporting, vendor payments, and expense reviews
• Assist with budget and forecasting support as needed
• Collaborate with internal departments and respond to inquiries related to financial data

What We're Looking For:

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel; able to work comfortably in spreadsheets and present data visually
• Experience with multi-system reconciliations and process audits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of accountability, integrity, and attention to detail
